Past Webinars:
Throughout the year, KAND will be offering low-cost, virtual webinars for members. Dr. Lauren Roberson will give a presentation on ‘Importance of Dietitians in Identifying Drug-related Micronutrient Deficiencies’ on August 13th from 12-1pm EST. KAND has applied for 1 CPEU for this webinar. Registration will open next week and will be $10. Below is a brief description of Dr. Roberson’s presentation. We hope you can join us!
“The medications many of our older patients rely on to manage health conditions often have unintended nutritional consequences. For example, many commonly prescribed medications can lead to micronutrient deficiencies. As RDNs, recognizing and addressing these medication-induced micronutrient deficiencies and nutrition-related side effects isn’t just relevant—it’s essential. Next month’s presentation will equip you with the knowledge to integrate targeted assessments to detect medication-induced micronutrient deficiencies into your nutrition care process and formulate effective interventions to support the aging population.
Thank you to those that were able to attend KAND’s 2025 Virtual Legislative Day!
Staying current with current nutrition policy topics will help you advocate for critical role you play in the health and well-being of every American.
Only those that registered and watched the webinar are able to claim CEUs but the recording and transcript are linked before for those interested in reviewing the presentation. We would like to get as much interest and support as possible as we advocate to pass the Dietitian Compact Licensure in this year’s Short Legislative Session.
