The Associate Director of Education Services and Quality (AD-ESQ) will oversee and assure quality, accredited diabetes education-related services and ensure that the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center (BBDC) carries out evidence-based approaches related to diabetes education. This individual will direct, manage and coordinate all programming efforts related to The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and diabetes-related accreditation entities. This position will lead efforts to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate outpatient diabetes self-management education (DSME) and diabetes-related services; foster professional growth for diabetes educators and staff members; promote human diversity and cultural competence for diabetes-related services; and foster a culture of quality management and continuous quality improvement. The AD-ESQ will role model and enforce the behavioral standards for service excellence; establish goals and expectations for achieving high levels of patient satisfaction and employee engagement as well as continually meet accreditation standards set forth by the enterprise. Through these and related activities, this individual promotes a culture of optimal quality education, management, improvement, and relations across every level of the enterprise.
